A contamination of ground waters and related ecological problems represent key factors preventing effective use of large amounts of pig´s manure directly as a fertilizer. In the presented project a technology for processing up to 100 000 m3 of manure to 4 000 tons of high-quality humus fertilizer on yearly basis is introduced. A follow-up sale of the fertilizer allows return of the investment and covers operational costs of the technology.
In the technological process a low-quality manure diluted with technological water {1,5-3 % of dry matter} is chemically treated with coagulant, which results in precipitation of solid matters and colloid particles. In a separation system the solids are separated from aqueous part, which is then led to a small-scale biological water treatment station, purified and released as clean water into recipient.
The solid part undergoes a process of further de-watering with a help of flocculants straw, sawdust and woodchips. Such substrate is loaded into one of the 80 m³ fertilizers in volumes of each of the composting facility boxes.
At its introduction, the technology obtained the ''Zlatý Kosák'' the major price of an international exhibition Agrokomplex 2000 (Nitra, Slovak Republic).
